The 2001 Gender Festival was held from September 10-13 in Dares Salaam with the theme "Gender, Democracy and Development: Transformative Approaches for Challenging Impoverishment. " The Gender Festivals are organised on a bi-annual basis as open forum for like-minded individuals and organisations to come together, share experiences, knowledge, build capacity and plan collectively for social transformation with a gender perspective.

TGNP is encouraging all to start making preparations to attend the 2003 Gender Festival! No doubt it will be another event that you will not want to miss.
