States took pens and the Covenants did sign. This means they can't sit back, wine and dine. The State has committed itself, it has taken on specific obligations. To respect, protect and fulfill human rights.

Women rights ask No, demand that States not bask, in the "glory" of human rights violations. Human rights ask that all persons, including women, be protected and to this end, our States we task.

When we talk about peace, we better not miss the gender piece. Women's rights, women's participation and women's role in peace building completes the puzzle.

1325 is the relevant resolution, the instrument for women's participation, the piece that completes the puzzle and requires States to include women, and to this end, our States we task.
