The International Women's Health Coalition (IWHC) is pleased to announce two new online resources highlighting the realities of young people's sexual and reproductive lives and visionary young leaders advocating for change.

YOUNG VISIONARIES: IWHC'S INTERACTIVE WEB FEATURE

Around the globe, young women are mobilizing and making their voices heard--and changing the world in the process. To underscore the work of these innovative Young Visionaries, IWHC has launched an interactive web feature to showcase young leaders throughout the world and advocacy resources for young people and their allies. Visit www.iwhc.org/youngvisionaries to learn how young women are helping to chart the future for sexual and reproductive health and fights in their communities. As part of our Young Visionaries feature, we invite young people to speak out! How do you think we can ensure that future generations will have strong, healthy relationships, control their own sexual and reproductive lives, and create lasting change in the world?

If you are under 30 years of age and have a vision to share, or know of a young person who does, please visit www.iwhc. org/youngvisionaries/shareyourvision.cfm. To receive updates on our Young Visionaries feature and our work with youth around the world, please send an email to youngvisionaries@iwhc.org with "send me updates on youth" in the subject line.

IWHC'S NEW SERIES ON YOUNG ADOLESCENTS

IWHC is pleased to announce the release of Overlooked and Uninformed: Young Adolescents' Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, the first in a series of briefs on adolescents ages 10-14. Young adolescents make up 9% of the world's population and as much as 15% in low- and middle-income countries. In some parts of the world, nearly 25% of young adolescents become sexually active before the age of 15, yet their sexual and reproductive health and fights are often overlooked, Leaving a significant gap between the information and services they need and what they actually receive. Aiming to narrow this gap, Overlooked and Uninformed highlights the challenges faced by policymakers, health professionals, and other adults, as well as young people themselves, in protecting their health and fights.
