At the heart of FEMNET's Communication programme is the focus on improving networking, communication and information dissemination among African women. Beginning 2006, FEMNET working in close partnership with the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) sought to increase the availability of information on women's human rights in both English and French so as to facilitate enhanced exchange of experiences and ideas between rural women from different parts of Africa. The electronic Bulletin which is sent out to all our members on monthly basis has also been upgraded. Following the recommendations proposed in the Information Needs Assessment and Evaluation (NA/E) report published in September 2006, FEMNET will begin to implement some of these recommendations such as developing a monitoring mechanism to continuously evaluate FEMNET's information products/services and strengthening the capacity for members in using Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
