Erot quits steeplechase for 5,000m, 10,000m and x-country.

Athletics Kenya Kapsokwony cross country winner Johana Erot has quit the 3,000 steeplechase to concentrate on 5,000m and 10,000m as he seeks to represent the country at next year's World Cross Country Championships and Paris Olympic Games.

After failing to make Team Kenya to the World Cross Country championships in Bathurst, Australia earlier this year due to a travel hitch, Erot is keen to make the cut in his second time asking.

Erot won the Under 20 title in Kapsokwony, which he believes is a sign of good things to come.

'I want to try my luck in the 5,000m and 10,000m races. Steeplechase is very technical for me,' said Erot.
